In this short film, many typical elements of a thriller are used. At the beginning  of the sequence, many close-up shots of the room are used to establish setting and give the audience a clearer idea of why the character may have the emotions that they do. The music used in the background is very atypical for a thriller film to use, and sets a different tone for the rest of the film. Many hand-held shots are featured when the main character is trying to find the hidden door, this highlights the pedantic nature of the situation as well as the urgency. This kind of shot may also be used make the audience feel more included and be able to follow the narrative in a clearer way. The extreme close up of the boys face is used to show his emotion and convey the tension.
